| Our Sunday School Teachers and Children's Church Leaders are here to bring the Lord into the lives of His children while helping them become devoted Disciples of Christ. We want the children to understand the importance of church while having a good time learning and making life-long friends. Our ultimate goal is for your kids to leave our church excited about God and wanting to come back!
The "God's Kids Grow " curriculum is used for Sunday School. The children will discover how the fruits of God's Spirit grows in our lives. They will explore the ways God's good fruit can be displayed in their character and hear stories about other Christians throughout the Bible who have demonstrated these qualities. Terrific kid-involving lessons and activities are filled with variety to appeal to kids' many learning styles. The goal of this course is to learn how to become the fruitful people God created us to be. We have classes for all ages.
Our Children's Worship program is provided for children age three thru fifth grade. Nursery is provided for children 2 years and under. Our Children's Church service is much like the one Pastor Thomas holds, just made kid-friendly. We begin in the sanctuary with the Children's Moment of Prayer with Pastor Thomas, then go downstairs to our own children's service. We divide into two groups: 3 Years Old - Kindergarten and 1st grade - 5th grade. Each group has a prayer and takes offering (the children decide what we'll donate the offering to) and then we have a lesson on a scripture and do a related activity. On the first Sunday of the month, the children come upstairs to participate in the invitation and benediction.
FAITH GIRLZ - First Wednesday of each month 4 - 5:30 p.m. Snacks and age-appropriate discussion for girls in Grades 1 - 5. Bring your Bible and your friends!
BOYS' CLUB - This is our new group for boys in first thru fifth grade. We will meet the third Wednesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall 4:30-6:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted!). Snacks will be provided. Bring your Bible and your friends. |
